BBM 6.0.0.73 available to BlackBerry Beta testers

BBM 6.0.0.73 available to BlackBerry Beta testers - On the heels of yesterdays announcement that BBM has over 39 million users AND with the close of BBM 5.0.3, BlackBerry has posted up BBM 6.0.0.73 in the BlackBerry Beta section. For all those who are beta testers you may want to sign in and install the newer version of BBM. I’ve had it installed for about 10 minutes and can’t really see any drastic changes when it comes to visual appearance. Rather than making BBM6 for the devices, I personally would love to see them release BBM for the PlayBook sometime soon but that’s just me. RIM provides us with a change log for BBM6 :

Any alerts set for SMS contacts are now preserved in BBM once an SMS contact is integrated with BBM

Invite a Text Messaging Contact — it’s now easier to search contacts

Location Search — you can now search for a location before sending, similar to the Location Search experience via SMS

Location Sending — you can now detect your location with cell tower triangulation or GPS

Appointment Sending – sending appointment or calendar events is now a similar experience to that of sending an appointment via SMS
